Hayden-McNeil recognizes Dr. Joseph Moxley, Taylor Mitchell, and team at the University of South Florida!
Artifacts is the new English Composition reader for the University of South Florida’s well-respected First Year Composition program. Dr. Joseph Moxley, Taylor Mitchell and their team worked closely with us to develop their first custom reader. The typeset text features the particulars of their program, lessons on the writing process, a selection of readings from various sources, and many student writing samples with instruction on the MLA process. A unique feature of this text is the appendix section containing their annual Bullitzer Prize readings. This section highlights the best student writings from the previous year and is a wonderful addition to their program.

Hayden-McNeil recognizes Miriam Ferzli from North Carolina State University!
Miriam first partnered with Hayden-McNeil Publishing in Fall 2008 to publish the Biology 181–General Biology I Laboratory Manual. Her goal was to provide students with well organized text fortified with illustrations that highlighted key concepts. Miriam selected the camera-ready production path for her first edition and worked closely with our illustrators to get her imagery just right. For her new Fall 2009 edition, Miriam opted to change to the Hayden-McNeil custom typesetting track for her development. She worked with our designers to create a layout that would be a real positive to the Biology 181 students’ learning experience. Her typesetting goals included a layout that had visual interest and graphic detail, yet organized the text in a clear and user-friendly manner. Miriam‘s new edition meets all of these goals! Biology 181 offers relevant chapter opener photos, clean text presentation, substantial illustration imagery, charts, diagrams, and student exercise sheets, along with informative appendices for handy reference, and a color/black and white photo appendix for student use.
Thanks, Miriam, for choosing Hayden-McNeil!

Hayden-McNeil Publishing recognizes authors Nelson J. Lacey from the University of Massachusetts–Amherst and co-author Donald R. Chambers from Lafayette College!
Nelson and Don first came to us in 2001 and have been publishing their internationally adopted Modern Corporate Finance textbook with us ever since. The book itself is a striking 7 x 9 case-bound text with a sleekly designed four-color cover. Nelson and Don revamped the book for the fifth edition, heavily editing any outdated material and employing a sophisticated design, adding a two-color process throughout. Both authors are committed to the best instructional value at the best price for their students, and they have achieved this with the fifth edition. The University of Groningen in the Netherlands is a regular adopter of their text. Nelson was even invited to teach a course in a Paris-based MBA program using Modern Corporate Finance this past winter.
Thank you, Nelson and Don, for your continued partnership with Hayden-McNeil!
