Hayden-McNeil recognizes Steven Shore at Oklahoma City Community College!
Steven Shore was a new author for fall 2007. He publishes two titles with Hayden-McNeil: Chemistry 1215, CHM 2 Lab Manual and Chemistry 1115, CHM 1 Lab Manual. Based upon the print run numbers, we helped Steven select the most efficient route for his unique manuals. The Chemistry 1215 title was published as a camera-ready edition using our new PDF to press process. This new option for camera-ready authors gives them the ability to place their custom HMP imagery directly within the text and take advantage of the higher quality PDF printing.
The Chemistry 1115 manual takes advantage of HMP’s typesetting services, including a professional layout and custom illustration work.
Thank you, Steven, for partnering with Hayden-McNeil!

Hayden-McNeil recognizes Dennis Wertz from North Carolina State University!
Dennis joined Hayden-McNeil in the fall of 2007 to publish his chemistry texts, Chemistry – A Molecular Science and Chemistry – A Quantitative Science. These books are part of a 1 – 2 – 1 approach to general chemistry. The idea is to separate general chemistry 1 and 2 and insert organic chemistry in between the two, thus creating a more robust chemistry experience. The books have been designed to work for both standard general chemistry and for 1 – 2 – 1 courses. These new editions include material presented in four-color in landscape orientation. The text is bound in a 1-inch binder with a full-color cover for the most user-friendly approach for students. Dennis has included handy reference charts for his students within the editions, and has made ancillary materials such as homework sets available via the Web.
Thank you, Dennis, for partnering with Hayden-McNeil

Hayden-McNeil recognizes the Department of Psychology at The Ohio State University!
The Department of Psychology has a longstanding relationship with Hayden-McNeil Publishing. In fact, we’ve been working together to publish their Psychology 100 – Examination Review Package since 1994. The camera-ready manual is designed to help Psychology 100 students with their studies by providing practice exams and answer keys. For added convenience, the packet is three-hole drilled for insertion into a binder. Going forward, it will also be shrink-wrapped.
Thanks, OSU Department of Psychology, for partnering with Hayden-McNeil Publishing!

Hayden-McNeil recognizes Tom Sasek at the University of Louisiana at Monroe!
Tom publishes his Principles of Biology I Laboratory Manual for the Department of Biology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Tom has been a Hayden-McNeil author since the fall of 2001!
The Principles of Biology I Laboratory Manual is typeset in a two-column format and features instructional photos and illustrations throughout. As a convenience to students, Tom also asked that we bind in 50-set student lab notebook pages as well as a custom fold-over back. The back cover displays general life sciences information such as biological measurements, common abbreviations, and illustrations as a handy reference for students.
Thank you, Tom, for your continued partnership with Hayden-McNeil!

Hayden-McNeil recognizes Jeff Jensen at the University of Maryland—College Park!
After a referral from a fellow HMP author, Jeff first published with us during the fall of 2007. His Biological Sciences 106 Laboratory Manual features a custom two-column layout, and a variety of vivid illustrations from our image database. Seeing the educational value in color printing, Jeff decided to print three of his personal dissection photos in full color, thereby contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal of the book as well.
Thank you, Jeff, for working with Hayden-McNeil!

Hayden-McNeil recognizes Mellisa Holtzman, Lisa Pellerin, Carolyn Kapinus, and Melinda Messineo at Ball State University
Mellisa, Lisa, Carolyn, and Melinda are new Hayden-McNeil authors for the summer of 2007. They joined us to create an Introduction to Sociology Reader for their students at Ball State University. The Reader consists of 21 interesting articles related to the field of Sociology and reprinted from respected journals, newspapers, and magazines, including The New York Times, ABC News online, and Esquire Magazine. Hayden-McNeil Publishing worked with the authors and our permissions specialist to obtain copyright clearance for each of the articles, and then typeset the pages in a professional, attractive layout. We are already looking forward to the next edition, when new articles are selected to update the Reader.
Thank you, Mellisa, Lisa, Carolyn, and Melinda, for partnering with Hayden-McNeil!
