Hayden-McNeil recognizes Peggy Sue Barber at Delta College!
Peggy Sue joined Hayden-McNeil in the fall of 2002 to publish her Lifelong Wellness Course Supplement for the Health and Wellness students at Delta College in Michigan. And she practices what she preaches—Peggy is a fitness expert and has competed in and won numerous athletic competitions.
Her wellness course supplement employs a single-column typeset layout and features perforated colored charts and worksheets, instructional illustrations, and detailed photos demonstrating different weight training, flexibility, and strength training exercises. Students who complete the two-year program are certified to work in clinical, community, commercial or corporate settings in the health and fitness field.
Thank you, Peggy Sue, for teaming up with Hayden-McNeil!
Hayden-McNeil recognizes
Barbara Stegenga from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill!
Barbara’s relationship with Hayden-McNeil began in 2007, when she was looking for design assistance for her Lab Exercises for Biology 101 manual. After an initial meeting at the ABLE conference, we teamed with Barbara to develop a design compatible with her inquiry-based curriculum. The two-column layout features eye-catching photos related to the topics of each chapter, as well as instructional photos and illustrations incorporated throughout.
Thank you, Barbara, for teaming with Hayden-McNeil!
Hayden-McNeil recognizes Valerie O’Loughlin, Jim Heersma, and Jim Knowlton at Indiana University!
Valerie, Jim Heersma, and Jim Knowlton are long-time Hayden-McNeil authors. They have worked with us on the publication of their A215 Basic Human Anatomy Laboratory and Study Guide since 1996. Our relationship with the Anatomy faculty is one of many that Hayden -McNeil has at Indiana University. Valerie and her colleagues collaborated with us to develop a typeset design that works particularly well for their lab material. They continue to improve the manual with each new edition. We are thrilled to be a part of this relationship!
Thanks, Valerie, Jim, and Jim, for partnering with Hayden-McNeil Publishing!
Hayden-McNeil recognizes Art Bettis at the University of Iowa!
Art joined our team during the fall 2007 production season. His Introduction to Environmental Science Laboratory Manual came to us as a camera-ready text in need of a major overhaul. The brand-new typeset edition features a custom two-column template, as well as full-color illustrations and photos (several of which were provided by Art) throughout. The manual was even printed on 100% recycled paper stock, per the earth conscious author’s request.
Thank you, Art, for working with Hayden-McNeil!
Hayden-McNeil recognizes David Grossie at Wright State University!
David publishes the Laboratory Guide for Chemistry for the Department of Chemistry at Wright State University in Ohio. He has been part of the Hayden-McNeil family since 2001!
David’s materials are typeset in a two-column format that includes instructional photographs on each chapter opener. The manual also features a variety of illustrations throughout. David’s commitment to the department and his students has led to a distinguished edition for the department and students.
Thank you, David, for working in partnership with Hayden-McNeil!
Hayden-McNeil recognizes Steven Shore at Oklahoma City Community College!
Steven Shore was a new author for fall 2007. He publishes two titles with Hayden-McNeil: Chemistry 1215, CHM 2 Lab Manual and Chemistry 1115, CHM 1 Lab Manual. Based upon the print run numbers, we helped Steven select the most efficient route for his unique manuals. The Chemistry 1215 title was published as a camera-ready edition using our new PDF to press process. This new option for camera-ready authors gives them the ability to place their custom HMP imagery directly within the text and take advantage of the higher quality PDF printing.
The Chemistry 1115manual takes advantage of HMP’s typesetting services, including a professional layout and custom illustration work.
Thank you, Steven, for partnering with Hayden-McNeil!
