Your Expanding Intelligence
Jill Wilks, Southern Utah University
ISBN: 978-0-7380-3580-2 Net Price: $20.00
Your Expanding Intelligence is designed to help students, instructors and educational leaders shift learning, thinking and teaching patterns to achieve optimal learning in students of all diversities. Informed by neural science findings and the resulting brain-based pedagogy, the curriculum directs students to establish baseline information about current academic and wellness habits while applying active learning tools to a self-selected course. Developing emotional, intellectual and social intelligence, it enables students to communicate assertively, to learn authentically and to experience the "higher" promises of post-secondary education. For instructors and administrators, Your Expanding Intelligence provides a comprehensive foundation for integrating brain-based pedagogy into syllabus designs and encourages educational leaders to consider brain-based delivery and meaningful, formative assessment designs.
